A long overdue garden update. If you didn’t know, I do my fare share of gardening in the summer. This year, I might’ve gotten a little carried away with our tomatoes… but! Almost everything in our garden is started from seed (with the exception of our perennials, sage, lavender and the san marzano tomatoes [big red pots]), and this year we had way more seeds produce strong seedlings than I predicted… these photos are from about 2 weeks ago, and currently we’re neck deep in squash and cucumbers. I’m very happy to announce that I’ve been awarded a 2026 University of Calgary Faculty of Arts Leadership/Mentorship Award in Justice, Equity and Transformation. This award recognizes me for my on-campus work as a student leader and mentor. This award means the world to me, as it has shown me that my work has been visible not just to the students I work with, but with the faculty at large. I’m grateful to the many staff and faculty members who I’ve have the opportunity to work with over the last two years, all with the goal of working to make the student experience at the University of Calgary the best it can be!
