Hello Trombone Community!

We look forward to seeing you participate in the 6th annual Slide Into Spring: Calgary's Trombone Day to Celebrate International Trombone Week on Sunday April 7 2019!
The day begins at 12noon at William Aberhart High School (3009 Morley Tr NW).Workshops, masterclasses and trombone displays at this location until approximately 4:00pm.
Trombone players of all ages, styles and levels are invited to attend.  There is no charge.
T-shirts and other accessories may be available for purchase.  Cash preferred though some credit cards may be accepted.

We welcome Dereck Berg from St John's Music repair shop who will give a special workshop on instrument care and maintenance for young trombonists.
We also look forward to a community trombone ensemble performing under the direction of R. Duane Hendricks.
We are thrilled to announce that Edmond Agopian will direct our massed trombone choir, this year!  Mr. Agopian has offered to meet with those who would like an extra rehearsal on Saturday April 6 at 2:00pm (until 3:00pm) at William Aberhart High School.  We would play through the massed trombone choir music at that time and it would allow for everyone to have an extra bit of preparation before the event on Sunday April 7!  Please print and bring along your music for this rehearsal! The evening concert featuring the region's top players as well as a massed trombone choir involving ALL participants will be held at 7:00pm at Hope Lutheran Church (3527 Boulton Rd NW).  Participants will be required to show up early for soundcheck and brief rehearsal and are expected to perform in ALL BLACK clothing (black dress shirt, black dress pants, black shoes and socks) and to bring along a music stand, as well.  This concert is open to the public with a "pay-as-you-can" admission.

We look forward to an evening of trombone music performed by some of the region's top trombonists and with a variety that will be unique and high calibre!
